The O·M·N·I Preservation Project exists to document and preserve discontinued computer software and its history. The project is not operated for commercial gain and does not sell O·M·N·I software, registrations, or licenses. Copsey Strain, Inc. publicly released the 16-line Professional Edition of O·M·N·I BBS free of charge to the hobby BBS community and published registration credentials allowing the freeware release to be activated. The company’s original registration and support services are no longer available. Historical copies of those announcements and registration instructions have been preserved from Copsey Strain’s former website. Technical information concerning O·M·N·I’s registration system, including the registration-code generator, was independently reconstructed from the original compiled software for purposes of compatibility and preservation. The generator is provided to assist users in maintaining, restoring, and operating discontinued O·M·N·I software. It is not intended to facilitate copyright infringement, unauthorized access to software, or avoidance of payment for any product or service currently offered for sale. No warranty is made regarding the accuracy, completeness, compatibility, legality, or fitness for any particular purpose of the information, software, files, instructions, or tools provided by this project.
